COMING THIS FALL
Vivienne Westwood's bridal collections are a stunning blend of avant-garde fashion and timeless elegance. She is well known for being a revolutionary force in the fashion world, blending historical influences with modern subversion. One of the most famous wedding gowns she designed in 2008 was Carrie Bradshaw’s wedding dress in Sex and the City, a dramatic ivory gown featuring a voluminous skirt and structured bodice. Many of her gowns feature elements of draping, corsetry, and unconventional shapes. Westwood often draws from the Victorian and ancient Greek aesthetic. The brand offers both Couture and Made-to-Order bridal gowns, each crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Her brand is known for its meticulous craftsmanship and use of luxurious fabrics: French Lace, taffeta, tulle, and silk satin, and adorned with pearls, bows, or an antique brooch
The Couture collection is a fully bespoke experience, where brides work closely with the Westwood team to create a gown tailored to their vision. This process includes personalized sketches, fabric selection, and expert craftsmanship in the London atelier.
The Made-to-Order collection features iconic Westwood silhouettes, incorporating historical and experimental pattern cutting. These gowns are available in ivory and other colors, with detachable trains, lace accessories, and intricate embroidery.
For 2025, the collection pays homage to Queen Victoria, the first bride to wear white, offering gowns in shades of white, black, and combinations of both. The designs range from dramatic corsetry to minimalist draped silhouettes, ensuring a unique look for every bride.
Westwood’s legacy lives on through her brand, which continues to push boundaries with avant-garde tailoring and sustainable practices.
