Lucian Matis formal gowns having both European and Canadian influences. From sketch to reality, each step of the design envisions modern femininity, with European craftmanship and the hand of a Toronto atelier. Each piece is a work of art made for the Mother of the Bride and the Groom, formal occasions like black tie Galas and Weddings, to cocktail and holiday parties.  He has dressed First Lady of Canada, Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau for a White House visit, as well as other high-profile celebrities.

This collection is born out of Toronto yet reflects the origins of Lucian Matis’ European beginnings. Using only the most luxurious and sustainable textiles from Europe and Japan, these made to order gowns, are timeless yet unique, wearable yet luxurious, a difficult juxtaposition made simple by Matis’ masterful techniques and artistry.
